Perry Hill, most recently the Executive Chef – The Boathouse on Blackwattle Bay in Sydney, he has worked with some of the greatest culinary talents in the world such as the renowned TV personality and chef Luke Mangan at his restaurants, Salt & Bistro Lulu www.lukemangan.com/luke_mangan_chef.htm l as well as Ruth Rogers at the globally renowned and Michelin star rated River Café www.rivercafe.co.uk. Throw in MG Garage, and at the time was voted one of the World’s top 50 restaurants, under the guidance of Janni Kryitsis and you’ve got one of the most talented chefs to come to our wonderful region.

In 2003 Perry once again teamed up with Luke Mangan and Lucy Allon to become the Head Chef at their new venture in Bondi – Moorish Restaurant. Moorish was awarded favourite Middle Eastern Restaurant by the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2005 and was hailed as one of Rick Steins favourite restaurants in Sydney.

Whilst Perry was at The Boathouse, the restaurant was awarded one Hat by The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. Here’s what the food writers think of Perry;

Chef Perry Hill’s gift is producing simple yet exciting dishes, inspired by north of Africa and southern Spain”. Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide

Chef Perry Hill serves up some fabulous dishes”. Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide

Suddenly, I go into shock. A fabulous table is available. And we don’t move! I must be having a Melbourne moment - we’re not at Moorish for the location (gasp!), we’re here for the food.” The Sun-Herald Magazine, August 3, 2003
